Musculoskeletal Aquatic Therapy - Rehabilitation in a Swimming Pool

This is a one day course for physiotherapists who provide aquatic therapy but in a standard swimming pool with cooler water than within a hydrotherapy pool. The course will be theory and practical covering theory sessions on:

• Revision of the properties of water and physiology of immersion

• Aquatic Therapy Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation Research.

The practical sessions will cover:

• Mobilising and strengthening

• Gait re-education

• Balance and proprioception

• Trunk control / core stability

• Plyometric training
